The industries stationed in sabzevar are mainly those engaged in the processing of agricultural prokduce such as cotton processing factories ,cumin sorting and processing facories , one sugar company , two flour making factories and some foodstuff manufacturing complexes . issuance of permit for the launching of industrial units in sabzevar by the end of the third five year development plan registered a growth of 624 %compared to that of the first five year development plan and estimates for investment showed an increase of 1044%,while estimates for employment proved a growth of 433%.all these figures speak of the uptrend of development and investment in sabzevar . the number of units holding utility license by the end of the third development plan showed an increase of 68%compared to that of the first five 825%and investments made showed 462%of growth . in the mining sector ,by the end of the third five year development plan , the number of issued excavation permits registered a growth of 20%,excavation certificates 17%,operation permits 19%and discovered reserves 4%.
